A course using digital cameras, location work and found objects and imagery. The students create a portfolio of work while qualifying for an OCN level 3.

Feb 2003 – Nov 04 Introduction to web design using Dreamweaver & Photoshop
A 3 yearly 6 or 12 week OCN evening course covering everything needed to design & upload a website including, site construction, organisation, tips, design & graphic optimisation, uploading, GIF animation as well as a basis understanding of how html works.

Sept 2004 - May 2004 Designing and presenting a key stage 4 art programme, for schools, in the area of digital imaging. I created a 6 week programme for an area of Key Stage 4 art, in partnership with Sheffield Arts Education. My involvement includes presenting the possibilities to school teachers and offer support and opinion within this area, ongoing into spring 2005. Partnership with Sheffield Arts Education

May – July 2004 10 week OCN level 3 in Photography
A course using SLR and digital cameras, in location and studio work. The students created a portfolio of work by darkroom printing from their own B&W photos and through digital editing session.

April-May 2004 Creating and editing animations made using different techniques
A 3 week course that involved hands-on animation making using story boards, claymation, set making, shadow drama animation and editing with music in Director software.

1 day training sessions introducing digital camera use and some of the main features of image editing software Photoshop Elements. The aim of the course was for librarians to gain some knowledge of this software in order to assist the public at local libraries

Short ASDAN accredited course with the intention of building individual portfolios in design, digital imaging and photography, and as a group creating a series of postcards and poster advertising Nomad Plus to young people.
AMP Nomad Plus – Supporting young people into independent living, 19-25yrs

May 2002 - Oct 2002 Introduction into b/w photography & processing and digital imaging – using b/w darkroom techniques, digital cameras and Photoshop
7-week course introducing photography and digital imagining to first time learners with mainly physical limitations in their leaning. Run as part of the Sheffield College’s links programme.

May2002 Introduction into digital imaging - using a digital camera and Photoshop
I was hired on a freelance basis by KMP (Kelvin Media Productions) in Sheffield, along with one other tutor, to promote and encourage KMP as a positive community organisation and educational facility, through an introduction into digital imaging over a period of 4 weekly, in 2-hourly sessions.

A 4-week course that included, composing and taking photos for the themes, ‘Space’, and ‘The Body’ but with the main emphasis on darkroom printing.

April 2001 – June2002 Workshop leader (Digital Imaging & Photography) part time – Site Gallery and NIACE (Adult & Community Learning Fund.
Site Gallery and NIACE employed me to develop and deliver a program of workshops and courses aimed at selected groups from the local community, who have traditionally been marginalized from involvement and education in the arts. I ran 6 to 8 week courses with groups from the Somali Community Media Project, the Lai Yin Association, and the Women’s Housing Association, some of which culminated in an OCN certificate.
