Creative Practice

Vicky has worked as a freelance creative practitioner and educator for 23 years. During this time she has devised, managed and delivered numerous creative projects, courses, and programmes across writing, filmmaking, journalism, radio, graphic design, visual art, multimedia and photography. She has undertaken commissions as an artist and designer, a filmmaker and, in more recent years, a writer. (You can find examples of this work in All Projects and Long Term Projects).

Vicky has vast experience of facilitating, teaching and training people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities in a wide variety of contexts and settings. A passion, and much of the focus of her work has been, and continues to be, supporting the artistic and professional development of young people. For the last 13 years, significantly, young writers.

As a project manager of numerous creative projects, often with multiple strands, Vicky programmes events, markets activities, builds partnerships, manages budgets, gathers feedback, writes funding bids and reports, employs other artists and supervises volunteers.
